My Faith Will Move Mountains

My Faith Will Move Mountains

I don’t really care if you go to church every Sunday. It doesn’t matter if you’re considered a little nice role model who follows all the rules.

That has nothing to do with having faith. There’s a lot more to it.

What Do You See?

I have tattoos. I have long hair. I drive a motorcycle. Most people look at me and instantly label me as some sort of idiot.

I’ve been walking by faith since I was 15 years old. Everything I do is a gift for God. He gave me potential and I will take that further than anyone thinks is possible.

It’s too easy to be a nice person. It’s too easy to fit into society’s mold and do what everyone thinks is right.

You Need Balls

It takes balls to go against the crowd and do something a lot bigger than yourself just because something inside is telling you so.

Following God is not about caring what others think of you. Having faith is not about appearances.

Most people are too scared to risk their reputation. Most people are too scared to listen to God.

Following God is risky. Start listening to God and a lot of people might ridicule and exclude you. A lot of people will think you’re crazy.

Flip Off Your Mind

Everyone is meant to do something extraordinary in this world. Everyone has a role to play.

Stop paying attention to others. Shut down your mind. Don’t listen to your priest. Don’t listen to your parents.

What’s your heart telling you? What is God telling you? What are you going to do in this world?

Smile When It’s Dangerous

Having faith means stepping into darkness with your arms wide open and a big grin on your face. There are no certainties in this world. A lot of bad shit will happen.

Life is short. You are going to die a lot sooner than you think. How are you going to leave this world?

Will you be someone who put his talents to a side because you cared way too much about other’s opinions?

That’s pathetic.

I would much rather leave this world being a testimony of how far having faith can take you.

Question of the Week: The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

My Answer: The Rolling Stones. Always.

Sebastian, been following your posts and videos for a while, I really enjoy them! I have a lot of respect for this post, I can tell you live by the things you write about. Thank you sharing that.

“Will you be someone who put his talents to a side because you care what others thought about you?”

Never! I have never been the one to care too much about what others think of me. Sometimes I wonder whether I’m a weirdo who just can’t blend in with the society. I know it’s not my job to do what others tell me; my job is to listen to what my heart is telling me and follow it. If there’s another thing that I trust the most in life other than god then it would be my heart.

    Thanks for the inspiration, Sebastian.

Anyway, I choose The Beatles because I don’t know much about The Rolling Stones.

Mi total admiración y respeto. Como diría JW… “Keep walking”… Following your heart.

  • Jon Espina April 26, 2014, 11:40 am

I also do not go to church that often. What matters is my faith and personal relationship with God.

I am also trying my best to conciously stop giving a f*ck and just do what I love. Thanks for another dose of inspiration.

By the way, I’ll go for Beatles. I like their songs, like “let it be.”

I have a question, (not meant to be answered), it’s just for you.

Do you have faith in God? Are you aware that you’re going to die? Do you think God has your back? Do you think that if you believe in him, he will take care of you in the long run? Do you believe that everything will be for a greater good and it will all turn out fine?

Think about those questions and then answer: Why would you ever care about stupid stuff?

That caring goes against your faith in God. Any time I’m caring, it’s like I’m denying God. It’s like I’m not believing in God.

      Just food for thought.

Yes, I believe that there is a higher being who created me, all of us.

But that faith is based on my own terms, I don’t really follow customs and traditions, in my case being a Catholic.

But you know I’m still working on with your advice about “Stop paying attention to others. Shut down your mind.”

        I’m gonna work on that.

    “Smile when it’s dangerous.”

Great line. Usually the mark of tried and true man.

I lean toward Beatles…a little more psychedelic, with incredible songwriting and overall appeal. Not my favorite band, but the greatest band ever. There’s a difference.

Riz, I’m sending you an email ASAP.

I would really appreciate some guitar tips.

  • Nene April 26, 2014, 8:03 pm

Sick picture man! Proud of how much you’ve done with the blog.

    Question: Rolling Stones. Beatles suck.

  • jamie flexman April 28, 2014, 4:44 pm

This is a great, positive message. I am not religious, but I see the power in faith – not only towards a higher power but also in ourselves.

The Beatles – although the best two are no longer with us.

  • Gonz April 29, 2014, 9:35 am

Neither, I don’t listen to Rock & Roll.

  • Mr. N April 29, 2014, 9:40 am

You kinda look like one of those guys from the rolling stones… Of course you will say that!!

    • Shots of Insight April 29, 2014, 12:10 pm

Thank you, you’re making me blush. That’s a pretty good compliment : )

  • Ludvig Sunström April 29, 2014, 5:13 pm

    Hey Sebastian,

This is part of the post is what I took to the most:
“Stop paying attention to others. Shut down your mind”

Keep doing your thing. It’ll be cool to follow your progress and see where you are in 1-5 years. :)
